Jennifer and James celebrated at Manor of Groves with all their friends and family after a church ceremony earlier in the day...
Above is a selection of wedding photography in Watford and wedding photography Manor of Groves, Hertfordshire by wedding photographer Minna Rossi.
Capturing Jennifer and James' beautiful August wedding started with lots of shots of the girls getting ready at the Hilton Watford Hotel (Elton Way, Watford, Hertfordshire WD25 8HA). As Jennifer loved still life and detail photos and everything was so well planned and colour co-ordinated beforehand, I made sure I got details of both her day and evening dresses and shoes as well as mummy and daughter's shoes together (how cute!), the flowers, the ring and other jewellery, perfume etc. As a Watford wedding photographer/ Hertfordshire wedding photographer / North London wedding photographer, the focus of my wedding photography is always on portraits so I did natural photos of all the family and bridal party; candid shots of the girls having their make up done and having a glass of bubbly, little Danielle playing, then finally some portraits smiling to camera when they were all ready. The two hair and make up artists had so many girls (the bride, maid of honour, bridesmaids, the mother of the bride and the couple's two-year-old daughter) to glam up, they had booked two rooms for this -and I kept popping back and forth between the two depending on what stage each client was at.
The Hilton Watford Hotel is conveniently located just 25 minutes from central London and only a stone's throw away from the wedding ceremony venue: the Roman Catholic Church of St Helen, Watford North Parish, Hertfordshire (The Presbytery, The Harebreaks, Watford WD24 6NJ). After the ceremony at this lovely little community church everyone headed for a party at Manor of Groves near Sawbridgeworth in Hertfordshire (High Wych, Sawbridgeworth CM21 0JU). Manor of Groves is fully licensed for wedding ceremonies and the stunning architecture and picturesque grounds make it the ideal wedding venue: this restored Georgian Manor House is located in 150 acres of idyllic Hertfordshire countryside. Manor of Groves has two large rooms for weddings - the Collonade Suite in the main hotel and Manor Suite in a separate building as well as two gazebos. You can find out more about Manor of Groves hotel and Country Club in Hertfordshire on their website www.manorofgroves.com/weddings.
Jennifer and James' wedding reception was held at the Manor Suite at Manor of Groves. Situated in its own building, the Manor Suite has a wealth of space and is an ideal evening reception venue with its light, beautiful glass conservatory. Doors lead out of the Manor Suite to a magnificent Oriental Garden complete with a flowing waterfall, Oriental timber bridge, pergola, gazebo and breathtaking views reaching far out onto the horizon. As a Watford wedding photographer/ Hertfordshire wedding photographer / North London wedding photographer I loved working at Manor of Groves; the staff were super helpful and there was plenty of space for all of the over 200 guests to enjoy a drink on the lawn and take in the rolling hills of Hertfordshire.
We did a few group photos straight away after arriving at Manor of Groves so the guests could go and enjoy themselves. I then took Jennifer and James on their own for a few romatic photos in the fabulous sunshine and surrondings. For the wedding breakfast, both families, the bridal party and the couple all danced their way in in small groups to really make an entrance! I had been told that the family love a good party and it was great to see everyone in high spirits and excited at this high energy event. The MC, the grooms sister, got everyone's attention for speeches and toasts, which made for some great photos of guests' reactions and laughter. The cake cutting, First Dance, Father Daughter and Mother Son dances all followed. The bouquet throwing didn't quite go to plan though: it hit the chandelier and it was a sprinting contest for who would be getting married next ;) What a fantastic, fun day and a fab couple!
