I photograph a lot of corporate staff portraits, always working to my clients' specifications. If you are after a classic, clean look to your business portraits, I can bring a plain paper roll background and stand with me and set these up in a meeting room at your offices, or somewhere out of the way (I'll also bring lights, diffusers and reflectors so please don't worry about existing lighting in the space -I can light the subjects, still keeping to a natural look). It's always good to leave a bit of time for your portraits as it gives you a chance to relax into it, and we can play with the light and see what suits your face best (for larger groups I usually ask to leave about 15 minutes per person).
These kind of headshots on a plain background are great for internal and external communications, LinkedIn profiles, company websites and more. I always shoot in colour, carefully editing your images after the photo shoot -and if you like, I could also turn a few photos into black and white at this stage too.
I shoot quite a lot and am always happy to show you the back of the camera so we can review the poses, expressions and how smiley you want to look -and then shoot some more. We can try a few different poses (some always work better than others and feel more natural to you), with and without glasses on, maybe with a blazer or tie and without -completely up to you. I'll send you a wide selection of photos, not just a couple, so you could use a different one for LinkedIn than the website for example.
There are staff portraits in an office environment in London on the website, as well as other business portraits on location if you would like to have a look through these too before deciding on the look and feel for your portraits.
I get asked a lot about what kind of outfit works best for business portraits and how to prepare for this kind of photo shoot. Well, firstly, what industry are you in (are you in the corporate world or in a more relaxed, possibly creative, role?), do you have a strict dress code and are you in a client-facing role? How do you want to come across and what would you like to portray with these images?
I always advise my clients to ensure the fabric of their clothing isn't too see-through as the flash can make it look even more so, and that everything is ironed or steamed and stain free (careful with make up stains on those collars and necklines). Also, revealing tops that might be great for a night out can be a bit "too much" in a corporate environment. I feel a bit of sparkle and jewellery is always great -and let's bring your personality out!
I've shot a lot of portraits for DJ's, musicians, artists etc. for their branding and socials... You may feel that a traditional corporate look isn't quite right for you -that's OK, we can do something a bit different. Below are a few examples of portraits on simple backgrounds, but you can see more portraits on location in London on the website.
