As a professional PR & event photographer in London, I was commissioned to provide full photographic coverage of a new fashion brand’s exclusive launch party in the heart of the city. From early preparations to the final champagne toast, my role as the event photographer was to document the event in a way that felt stylish, dynamic, and true to the brand’s identity.
The photo shoot began with a behind-the-scenes look at the models getting ready—hair styling, makeup touch-ups and those candid, in-between moments that bring authenticity to the story. As a London event photographer experienced in PR, I focused on capturing these early interactions with a creative yet unobtrusive approach, providing a natural visual narrative that reflects the energy and excitement of a brand's debut.
The event continued with beautifully styled room setups, branding installations, and a classic “step and repeat” area for guests, influencers, and VIPs to pose as they arrived. This section was carefully lit and framed to ensure clean, editorial-quality portraits that could be used across press, social media, and marketing platforms.
Later in the evening, my style shifted to a more reportage-style event photography, allowing me to capture candid shots of guests mingling, enjoying cocktails, connecting with the brand, and experiencing the atmosphere. As an experienced event photographer in London, I know when to step back and let the evening unfold naturally—and when to step in and capture the moment before it passes.
