Vikki and Ben had put together such an amazing day. The coverage started with getting ready at The White Horse Hotel (Market Place, Romsey, Hampshire SO51 8ZJ). The White Horse Hotel is an upscale boutique hotel set in a 600-year-old coaching inn in the centre of Romsey with chic little rooms that are all individually decorated. The girls were in full swing of hair and make up when I arrived so I captured a few details and portraits, trying to stay out of their way :)

We soon headed to St. Mary's, a lovely small 12th century church and a grade II* listed building, for the church wedding ceremony. Michelmersh is a small village in Hampshire, just three miles north of Romsey, surrounded by rolling green hills. After the ceremony, we did a few informal, candid shots of guests congratulating the couple outside before getting everyone lined up for a confetti shot at the front gate.

We were greeted with lush green willows and large, old oak trees on arrival to the grounds of Timsbury Manor. Timsbury Manor (Manor Lane, Romsey, Hampshire SO51 0NA) is a secluded Victorian estate situated in the heart of the rural Test Valley, north of Southampton and near to Winchester and Salisbury. Timsbury Manor prides itself on being one of Hampshire’s premier wedding reception venues and it was just the perfect venue for a woodland wedding, tranquil and private, and a great backdrop for lots of romantic couple shots. We didn't have access to Timsbury Manor itself for the wedding photography, but captured Vikki and Ben dancing by the lakes, snuggling under the trees at sunset and even threw in a more urban looking shot against a grey, industrial wall.

Vikki and Ben had organised a really unusual, fun reception: a village of colourful, decorated glamping bell tents for guests to camp overnight in, beauty tents and one filled with toys for the kids. Alongside the marquee area, there was an ice cream van from Carlo's Ices, alfresco seating, a hog roast, a "Bake Off" tent full of cakes and dessserts as well as a fire pit to keep guests warm in the September evening. They had even organised a fairground of five rides to entertain guests! The marquee was beautifully decorated with lots of bunting, patterned table cloths and flowers and the kids couldn't wait to get their picture taken through the cut out board at the entrance.
