Ellen and and Lewis' amazing day with a Westminster theme (that cake!), soap bubbles, a caricaturist and lots of dancing amongst colourful lights...
Above is a selection of wedding photography at the Marriott Hotel County Hall by London wedding photographer Minna Rossi. Ellen and Lewis had planned a truly elegant wedding. Westminster of London, especially this area by Westminster Bridge and the river Thames, holds special meaning to the couple so they had decided to marry right at the centre of it at the Marriott County Hall and incorporate aspects of the borough into their day (in e.g. the cake design). It was such a privilege to be chosen to photograph their special day.
The day itself was fun and relaxed as they were such a down to earth, laid back couple. We started the wedding photography with Ellen and the girls getting ready at the Marriott Hotel County Hall in London, capturing the aaammmazing Biba dress, jewellery, flowers and natural portraits of the bridesmaids and Ellen. The boys were already waiting downstairs, greeting guests and making sure everything was ready for the ceremony. After bubbles -both soap bubbles and the champagne kind- we worked through the list of group shots before the couple would need to sit down for their wedding breakfast. We had a bit of fun with the group portraits despite quite a formal "look", hah! Ellen is a dancer and had this "flying through the air" shot in mind so she just threw it in there -and I loved the idea of it! It's great to get the expected formal shots, but also the ones where you can have a bit of fun and show the personalities of the couple more...
A lovely bunch of guests and a caricaturist made for some great candids and naturally posed portraits later in the evening. The couple chose Pharrell's "Happy" as their first dance -wow, what energy, joy, colours! The moves these two had; it was just incredible! :)
